This is part of a map I've started in which red are the evil nuclear energy manufacturers and Blu act as a Greenpeace like figure, talking the bomb cart to blow up red team's abomination!
Anyway, I need feed back for Blu team's logo, and maybe some ideas for red team's name/logo.

NOTE: the jpg file doesn't give it justice, try the tga here (http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1554883/BLUplanet_logo_test4b.tga) for a better idea. also I'll try and get it working in-game and show you guys.
NEW IN v4b :

The 'Planet' thing looks a bit sharp. Maybe make it.. what's it called.. Anti-aliased? :/

Haha, Muffin man and I already spoke of this problem. I'm not entirely sure how to do that in GIMP... but I will find out, and do it!

The "Blu" is of an intense contrast/saturation whilst the globe is desaturated and "light". I wouldn't change the globe though, it would fit inside a TF2 flag room or something fairly well. You could desaturate and lighten the "Blu" but i'm not sure how much that would conflict with the blue on the globe. A background might bring it all together, but it'd help if we could see it on a wall ingame.

I agree, but I'm not a fast mapper and the wall it is intended for hasn't been started (I don't even know how big it is etc.). I will try and get it done asap. keep an eye open in the future for that.

Maybe you can make the world look rounder, like it was 3d? Looks too flat yet, more like a disc.
