Created a new control point TF2 map. Need some brave explorers to try it out. It works well, but I need to confirm that all the textures made it in. I used Pakrat to add the custom textures into the map, so you shouldn't need anything else but the BSP file.
Download BETA 3 version here! (22mb) (http://www.esnips.com/doc/cc74ed0d-eb64-4eda-b154-57e9a713d032/CP_heartsnspades-b3) Updated Nov.18th

Nice neighborhood. Think I'll bust it up some.

Some of the outstanding issues that I'll be working on for the next patch:
- General beautifications.
- Blending the gravel and road textures
- enchanding of arches
- adding special effects. :o
- Creating a 3d skybox
Let me know if there's anything I should add/change/remove for the next version. Thanks!

Ha!
This looks very alpha-esque and blocky at the moment. Wow me with some detail!

Right now, the detail is in the textures. I'm working on beautifying the map. I need to make sure that people are getting all the textures they need first.

hrmm from looking at the screen shots, the only thing I don't like is the arcs.. they could really be more round.
The textures are nice though.

Yeah, I agree with the arcs. They were placeholders until I could test the vis speeds on the outdoor area. Good arches take a lot of brushes, while these cheapies only use 5 brushes (you can tell). Good point though, I will definitely upgrade the arches.

Here's what the new arches look like:

(you can see a bit of the new 3D skybox behind it)
You can see the brush difference between the old arches and new ones here:

The old arches used 4 brushes (but weird vertices), the new ones use 14 brushes.

I've posted version BETA 3. This is the pre-release version. I don't see really anything changing, unless there's a huge outcry from the community about something wrong.
Some of the new features:
+ More custom textures!
+ Rain and thunder effects added!
+ 3D skybox added!
+ Bases enlarged and improved!
+ New teleport system tied to the ownership of the neutral control points!
+ More nicknacks!
