Hey guys, would anyone be willing to turn props_hydro/dumptruck.mdl (or just start a fresh, I figured this was easier) into one of those good old fashioned troop transport trucks, like thus:
http://www.mcville.com/images/centennial/parade/army_truck.jpg (without the waving idiot obviously :p.). I spose for appearance it would need the tail gate down (so health packs can be visible on the floor) and ditch the star + american flag, since I think Red and Blu are both American?
I thought it might be a nice change to have Blu spawn outdoors for the first stage, and it'd be kinda weird having resupply cabinets standing in the middle of a grassy area (although, kinda funny), so I thought I could have 1 - 2 trucks with ammo + health sitting in the back to use as an explanation for how they got to where they are, plus where to get health. :) Making sure they can't get spawn killed will be an interesting trick, but anyway.
After the Decompiler refused to work on my computer I realised perhaps its best to ask the experts or just rethink my plans, espiceally since I don't know how to model in the first place. :p
Cheers to any who are interested. :)
include the dude inside waving or I'll be angry

For health you can use the ambulance model, would still fit your map as long as it isn't a military themed one, I can't remember who it's by but if you search the downloads section you'll find it.

This one? (http://www.fpsbanana.com/prefabs/4251) I think it needs to have a canopy roof really that's open, or opens, if it's to be the spawn rooms.

That model does not look like it will fit in the TF2 universe :\

The model is now official ;)

Ahh, wondered why I didn't remember downloading it :P It is a nice model though OP I would seriously consider using it more than any other vehicle for resupply, it fits TF2's styling nicely and would still make sense to use for your function.
For TF2... I imagine either team might use a truck like that, but skin-wise it would have to be disguised (perhaps badly) as an apple-delivery truck or something like that.
I believe the best method would be a slightly modified version of the left 4 dead army truck (though questionably legal), one could even get away with a simple reskin.

Yeah, I never really felt that model fit in the land of TF2. Why is a secret little band of mercenaries getting support from an Ambulance during their highly illegal attack? My map is supposed to be the good old secret base hidden in a mountain theme, with the first stage having Blu attacking the innocent looking Sawmill outside the base. Trucks kinda suit it better I felt.

Sorry, the trucks aren't spawn rooms, they're basically resupply cabinets. (or simply an explanation of what they're doing in the middle of the forest and I'll just put a little weapon cache on the ground like in L4D.
I completely forgot FPSBanana did models as well, however it appears the download link for the Truck is dead, I might email the guy and see if he still has a copy. L4D (and I think DoD?)'s trucks have a few to many sharp edges so don't really fit TF2's theme.
