After watching this video (Heavy Weapons Rush (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogUZ0QM-XZY)), I had an idea to make a map (either cp or ctf, but I'll probably go for a cp game with Granary layout) where the one team is all Heavys and the opposite team tries to win the round. When the round ends, the other team will switch to Heavys. I thought this gameplay would be fun and unique, and I hope you guys agree.

Please express your opinion on my idea. Any suggestions would be appreciative. :D

providing the map doesnt ..

1. overpower the set class
IE large open map, everyone sniper.

2. Hurt the all set class
IE Large open map, everyone pyro

I think it would be interesting to try =)

Can't a server admin not just enforce that using a plugin :P. But anyways, it would be unfair to the HWG team. They'll get smoked. Maybe a map that has many twists and turns and is short/mid range when it comes to fire fights. You really need something that makes the HWG shine. Because if the other team has medics they are pretty much toast.

Alas, until we have better filters (all the goods are broken right now), this is impossible from the mapping side. You could design a map around this concept and have an admin make the necessary class arrangements. But I'm afraid there's no way to enforce such limits right now.

Well, I know one thing that would work. Sort off. Make a damage zone in the spawn that people have to walk though to get out. You will get healed again if you pass it. That zone does 299 damage. Ofc medic life boost will make it possible for other classes to pass :/. Or can you make a damage zone that damages everytime you spawn?

It's easy to force one team to spawn as a certain class. Have a point_clientcommand with the Command join_class heavyweapons.

Yeah, that's what I was going to do, but I didn't know it was heavyweapons. I thought it was just "join_class heavy", so thanks for that "heads-up" pseudo. You're like the master of entities and outputs, man. :thumbup:
