Hey guys, new to forums, first post.

I've got a bit of mapping experience so not completely new, but having trouble with something, hoping someone can help out.

For some reason I can't get sprites to work in game, mapping for TF2. Specifically, I've made some teleporters, they all function as their supposed to. I'm trying to add a sprite at the entrance of each one, just want a basic glow effect, but it's not showing up in game.

The only tutorial I've been able to find is here:

It's obviously really old, but I've followed the sprite settings to a T and nothing shows up in game.

Does anyone know of any good (and current) tutorials, or can you tell me how to do this?

I'm also going to be trying to figure out how I can have the particle affect stay with the player when he exits the teleporter, exactly the same as when a player exits an engineers teleporter. If anyone can help with that too, that would be great.

Adding sounds to the tele would be awesome as well.

you need to manually add the file extension (.vmt or .spr) to your sprite name, for some reason hammer doesn't add this on it's own.
