Hello, I'm a aspiring mapper and I was wonder if anyone else is having and issue with something like this?

Example (Using skybox: sky_tf2_04 with settings provided from http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Team_Fortress_2_Sky_List)

And another using Hydro's Skybox and settings provided from valve dev wiki, not as bad as the sky_tf2_04 but still an issue

You need to build cubemaps!

Just built them and the issue is still there.

I'm guessing the light is just too bright for that tile, but maybe it's something else.

I think something with that rock ground texture is broken by nature (bumpmaps are out or something). You should probably be fine with a different texture there instead.

That texture is missing bumpmaps. Install Snark's Resource Pack (http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=4674) and the texture browser will tell you if a texture is broken for whatever reason.
