Im not exactly sure how to describe my problem. I had a very cool idea that I was thinking about, but I cannot get good overhead screenshots of the official maps. Everytime I zoom out it starts to fade and gets foggy. Is there anyway to disable this so I can get a nice clean screenshot from above?
When doing this on some customs like Roswell/Science, and a few others it was nice and everything stayed black outside the map, and everything inside showed up great. When I tried 2fort, dustbowl, castle and mach4, as soon as I zoomed out even somewhat (not even enough for a full shot) things were disappearing and fog etc.
Could use some help with turning this stuff off. None of the console commands I found in my brief stint helped.

In console, type cl_drawhud 0, hidepaneal all, r_skybox 0, fog_override 1. It'll disable HUD, skybox and fog.
Check if my overviews are what you're looking for:

In addition to what Coldfire mentioned, 'fov 90' in the console will change your field of view to 90 from the default 75, which does alter the view area considerably.
Oh and r_drawviewmodel 0, as well.

if you are having problems with fog follow this procedure
sv_cheats 1
fog_override 1
if you want a totally overhead fixed view you can use
cl_leveloverview (and enter a number here for the scale of the view) 1-10 etc
to move around in this view further you can use
noclip
