Those are pretty inspiring, definitely some of the best I've seen so far. Reminds me that you model properly when I saw the first one and thought it looked damn good. I like the last one a lot but it should NOT be able to jump, I mean just look at it's anatomy, nothing that jelly beanshaped could do a back flip!

I wish I could at least try the demo! I checked the minimum system reqs, and I have them. But whenever I start the creature editor, it goes to the first loading screen with the blue, and then goes black for a second and exits the program. Do I have to register or something before I even start the program?

Any help appreciated.

Shmitz, I'm just going using the basic set of tools. I have noticed that some parts are more expensive then others, and that it is all based on the number of polygons. The leaves, for example, use far less polys than the Cimitar with spikes. Aside from that the fact that it costs the same to have a single spike at the "seam" in the middle or two spikes placed symetrically on each side.

Just find the cheap mods, most of them in the last tab, and you can add a lot of detail to it.

One thing I wish were possible is making appendages that can act as both graspers and feet. Even if you branch a limb and put both on, it'll never lift its foot up to do something with its hand.

Just a quick question, how does the creature creator relate to the full game? I.e, if I buy the full game, do I lack anything from the creator? Or do I need both? Or if I get the creator now, do I get a discount later? I can't seem to find this info on the website, though I might be looking in the wrong place.

Knowing EA, you'll probably get no refund or discount at all, but the game won't lack anything if you don't get the creature creator. The creature creator is just a demo.

There's a free version of it, though. Go for that if you want to try it.

I just bought the full version, hopefully it will be a bit more fun than the painfully basic free version was. The first thing I'm gonna do is make lots and lots of Mario creatures. :D

If you're like me, and can become obsessed enough with it to create a vast volume of creatures, it's totally worth the 10 bucks. Ten cents a creature isn't bad. =)

If you just want something to fiddle around with though, it's probably better to save your money.

Here are some I just made. I definitely need to practise, though. The Piranha Plant was made in, like, 5 minutes (notice that it seems to be sitting in a piece of cake? That's supposed to be a pipe :P), I'm probably going to improve it.
