Thanks for posting,

Anyone know anymore about this one:

Fixed a loophole that allowed players to pickup weapons of other classes

I thought any player could pick up any other players weapon for ammo, where we not supposed to be able to do that?

I think it means "use", not "take the ammo"

The update doesn't mention the new PL map Badwater Basin.

Its a block for server plugins that give players other classes weapons.

What the hell?

Removed the Custom Tab in the serverbrowser, and added the Tags field to the base Internet Tab

I didn't see a "No tags" filter or anything like that. How am I supposed to remove all that instant spawn garbage from my server list now?

i no how gay! no we actually have to look at the tags + the tittle =\ i suppose the merge coz not many custom tab servers were getting traffic...

Pity they still haven't added a search by server name, either.

Yeah I don't get that, that one seems most logical..

What's this? No more civilian heavy? Disappointing! That was my favorite way to not help my team.

Arena mode is really fun. Thumbs up, Valve! :D

By the way, at least I'm happy about something - there's no snow in this update after all :P Just white rocks.

I think they borked the server search function. It used to sort servers by ping, now they're just in a random order.

I REALLY like arena mode. Makes for a good change of pace.

I agree. It's really fun for times when you want to fight with someone, although I won't say I like it better than Control Points or Payload.

click on the latency button to sort by ping. still works

yea they did. Its kinda annoying but an easy work around is to sort by ping, then by map. It will then list the pings from lowest to highest with the maps also alphabetical. (Like it used to by simply listing the maps in order)

Havent played other maps yet, just Badwater which seems to be really good. Payload goes on quite easily and the last point is the only bottleneck, but has many ways to attack and defend it.

Also there wasnt that many heavys playing for achievments, only like 4 per side. On pyro update there were at least 10 pyros per side.

I agree that there weren't as many all heavy teams. I think the addition of the arena game mode, which has an increased penalty for death, made players fallback to classes they are more familiar with.

The most Heavies I've seen on one team are three. Honestly.

Immediately after the update, I was playing on Apex's server, about 10v10. That was initially 9 heavies on each team.

Trust me, massive heavy spam + friendly fire do not mix well...

I imagine a lot of servers were expecting a Heavy flood, so they may have imposed class limits. I can't tell for sure though, because I never actually tried to be a Heavy.

There are a lot of rooms in Badwater that just seem so ... empty.

What did u expect?

A map that looks like Valve's mappers actually made it and tried to make it look nice.

In a few months? Wait another 9 years and u'll get 6 top quality maps.

Muffin Man

Oh, please. Look at Gold Rush. That map looks amazing. Valve can do great looking maps in a few months.

Ironically, the maps they released that looks brilliant (arena maps) are mildly boring to play.

FaTony

Then it'll be 1 good map or 6 bad maps.
