Game Timer Kit + Tiny CTF Map (http://tf2maps.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=50)
====================
Map Readme
====================
This map is very
simple. It can be
used on a server
rotation if you want
a short, sweet map
to kind of break up
the tension. It
supports 32 players
and it essentially
lasts 6 minutes. It
is something like
playing football
using a single
intelligence between
two doors.
That is all.

Timer Devkit Readme
====================
Please note this
detail: Timers are
imperative to
maintaining the
stability and flow
of a consistently
increasing volume
of maps. All official
valve releases have
times! Some of the
best, most detailed
TF2 maps out there
are currently lacking
timers! This makes
for sometimes 2+
hour long matches
of teams shifting
back and forth on
what may be a very
boring map
(I'm talking about
you, Snow Fort!)
So to remedy this
lack of timers I've
made this zip file
which contains a
sweet short
"Cool-down" type
CTF map which works
somewhat like a
fight yard. This is
an example of what
a "short" map would
be like using a
very short timer.
More importantly,
though, are the
included VMF files
which can be copied
into litterally any
map, giving the map
a timer and making
everybody happy to
finally see the
words "Sudden death"
after a grueling
battle that went
nowhere.
====================
!!!SPECIAL NOTES!!!
====================
Hello There! If you
are going to use
these here are some
tips:
1: To make sure you
have selected all
the files click "edit"
then "select all"
copy the files and
paste them directly
in to your map. It
does not matter where
you put them.
2: The VMF files are
seperated by time.
(IE they say 8-25
minutes on them)
3: If you want to
adjust the time
double click on the
timer and set it's
time (in seconds).
4: ALSO important:
If you are hosting a
controll point map
with a "set up" time
I suggest you put a
value (in seconds) for
the setup time for
your map. I recomend
30-45 seconds. Be
sure to lock doors
or set up barriers to
prevent setup time
interruptions and
time their unlocking
by some trigger after
the same ammount of
seconds as the setup
time.
5: Most CTF maps
do not need a set up
time. Some CP maps
also don't need one.
In these cases you
should be able to just
copy and paste these
files direclty in.
6: LAST NOTE (I swear)
These timers play a
TF2 music file to try
and "intensify" the
last minute remaining
in the battle. This
music is not very loud
and shouldn't cause
too many problems for
people. If you don't
want music just delete
the ambient sound.
