View Full Version : Weird interface glitches

I asked this over at the steam forums but didn't get a reply, so I'm going to try here.
I'm having these weird problems with just about every class whenever I make a server to test a map I'm making. These problems happen regards of map though, whether its on a Valve map or a fan made one, and only happens when I create a server. I also, always get this message "Node Graph out of date. Rebuilding." I looked up node graph on the wiki and I don't think the two would be related at all.
Each class seems to have some kind of glitch. For example the Spy can't exactly cloak (at least doesn't apparent to be able to), the Heavy's barrel doesn't turn, the Demo's charge bar doesn't graphically fill up, Sniper's scope graphic doesn't always appear when Mouse2 is pressed (and when it does, it doesn't go away after you cancel the zoom in), etc. And none of the Taunts work quite right.

Anyone know how to fix this?

node graph is something associated usually with single-player (or nav files for CS:S bots, maybe) Do you have SMOD or any other mods you've installed lately... ??? sometimes those can interfere with the default game configs.

your best bet to fix would probably be to delete your TF2 folder (after exporting all your custom stuff first), and then start the game through steam. it will give you a fresh default install right out of the stored .gcf file. then you can copy your maps etc. back in and everything should be OK

I'll have to give it a shot.. Though it sounds like something I could easily screw up heh.

As for the Node Graph thing, I donno what could be causing that. I have no mods installed at all.

Yes! that worked great. It seemed to fix both problems.
