im also thinking of remaking The Pit from Halo 3 for TF2. it would probably be a CP map, but CTF would be possible :D

I think this is more suited for the mapping discussion and not the WIP forum. We could use a "what maps should be remade for TF2" thread anyway.
I, personally, would love to make a version of The Edge for quake 2 as a gravel pit like map.

I think remakes should be avoided in general :/ Remakes of old fortress maps can work, but game-to-game conversions usually don't work too great.

y is that? i think it would be cool, since everyone loves halo3, no matter what they say xD
I strongly dislike halo 3 =/.
The game felt rather uninspired to me (Playing MP that is). Halo 1/2 were decent and enjoyable to play with friends so while not a big fan of the series I did get some enjoyment out of the earlier games.
As for remakes it's probably best to use the map you want as inspiration rather than a direct remake. What makes a map a good layout is a lot different between games.

I've always thought HALO was a descent console game, but nothing in comparison to PC gaming.
