not much just a overview how you should make your cp map:

Example is in the map source dir.
The size of the cap points is the equal to the time to cap.
correction, This is how to lay out your CP game for a well/granary style CP game. ever played gravel pit? Thats CP and isn't like this....
This is just one way, if you want a different type of gameplay then this might not work. and it is only a 'guide'
Okey your right this is the well style and the warpath style.
I made this first for me because the spawns can get confusing.
Gravelpit doesn't have multispawns so you don't need an overview like this.

There's only 2 forward spawns.

Personally, I think having the 3 forward spawns set up like that. It would be better if their was only the 2 (aka spawn 2 and spawn 3) which are unlocked when capping 3 and 4 for red, 3 and 2 for blue. Other then that it's a good lay out for a linear CP type game.

Which I absolutely hate because it gives you the feeling you play in a large rectangle with some walls and obstacles.

Hey they are better than those 'killboxes' you get with CS:S and HL2DM. Now they really suck.
good thing about TF2 is there are plenty of ways of arrangeing (damn my dyslexia!) CP maps like Dustbowl or Gravel pit. I for one love Gravel pit, I also love well. Granary not so much, it takes too freaking long to get anywhere.
i can post the visio file if some one wants to change to layout

Yes, that's definately better!
SG, there are a lot of ways you can set up a linear cp game so its not just a rectangle. you just have to be invitive.

This is an overview so you wont get confusing where which spawn goes and how many you need.

^^ Working on it. from spawn room to CP's to 2CP's at same time, to forward spawn.
