Going for the castle theme once again... this shot is so early I almost don't want to post it. But I think some of the architecture is kind of cool, so I'll throw 'er up.
It will be a smallish sized CTF map ala Mach and is a port from Q3F. I won't be in too big of a hurry with this, so I'll be making it really good hopefully (lots of school too). This is outside the base I'm working on.

Nah, I actually think my sky was just messed up cause I haven't added any cubemaps yet.

Actually I'm not positive that's why the sky isn't working atm. I'm using cordon right now and that might be why, but I swear when I used it before the sky was fine (not 100% though).

When you use cordon, it makes it so the map doesn't leak. :P
But it may have a side effect of making the sky not function properly. I donno, I've only been using Source for a few months so I have no clue.

Usually if you have a leak when you look at it it gives you a really screwy view and replecates everything in it

FYI, that's called the "Hall of Mirrors" effect (HOM). I'm not sure why I told you that.

It's actually easier to pull it off as an older castle present in more modern times, which I'm probably going to end up doing due to prop limitations. Been using ref shots like these for some of the outside stuff:

You do some great work vile. I commend you on all your creations and I love the fog use you use to keep fps higher.

That background looks really fake though, quite cool
Edit: about the sky, perhaps you have misspelt the texture name? happened to me, I had "sky_hydo_01" instead of "sky_hydro_01" took me weeks to figure out (well ok not weeks but still, way too long)

yeah it was spelled wrong. Done a good amount since this, but now I'm doing some stuff with impact.
