View Full Version : 'BONK' Energy Drink
I am a frickin' blur here!
Runnin’ rings around all them molasses-slow dummies out there on the battle- field is thirsty frickin’ work. But when it comes to quenchin’ that thirst, only one thermonuclear thirst detonator packs all the “Atomic Punch” you’ll ever need. Bonk! is fulla radiation, which as we all know is pretty great for givin’ people superpowers. Just one can’ll blast ya into a few-second rush of radioactive energy so powerful you’ll be dodgin’ bullets like they ain’t even there!
Note: Bonk! contains several hundred times the daily recommended allowance of sugar. After the beneficial effects of the radiation wear off, drinkers have reported experiencing feelings of lethargy that can last several seconds. Reading this sentence absolves Bonk! of any liability for killing sprees inspired by or deaths resulting from the ingestion of Bonk! Enjoy Bonk! responsibly… Or by the case!

Woah look at the background! Looks like you have to race two payload carts up and down those tracks.

Great to finally have a way past sentries. New gamemode looks like fun as well.

As I was just ranting in the steam chat, Bonk! had better disable captures and intel carrying like ubers do.

Hmm...Never thought that I would see Valve Promoting Drug Use.
I don't know about where you live but these drinks on the label say "Dose" as in a medication. - these things really are unregulated medications but there a a movement here by the medical field to have them banned or regulated.

Holy crap! If this means the new mode is payload race (that's what I'm gonna call it until it's official), will we be doing a payload race contest?

Fantastic! I've had a few payload race ideas floating around in my head for a while now. BONK!
New scout primary is a sawed-off shotgun? Look at the scout at the top of the page!

Wait wait wait......someone brought this up on the steam forums. VALVe said they were working on a new payload map and a very different game mode D:
I don't think the map in the background is the new game mode....I think it's the payload map!

dang, from the sounds of the translated achievements, the energy drink will give some type of "miss!" power. I was hoping for it to just go faster and the player had to use skill to dodge the sentries

The only difference is that the scouts hand is further up on the barrel. You people are looking for stuff were it isn't there. And how is taking of the bottoming making it sawed off? I thought that the scatter gun was a sawed of version of the regular shotgun.

Valve, the only game company with enough balls to openly insult our attempts to leak their info.

You didn't notice they are exactly like the critical hit indicators, but indicate everyone is missing?
I noticed the missing of the miss.

Actually, the "new" one doesn't have the rounded area around the chamber and the stock has the opposite curve. It's also missing the forward aiming post

could be a retooled model.

The effect doesn't last as long as an uber, and afterwards the scout slows down a lot so it balances out. If he had the intel he would run really far and then slow down to the heavy or soldiers speed for a bit.
EDIT: Man this forum is quiet compared to the Steam forums. I know Ive said this before but I mean, this post has 3 pages and the post on the Steam forums has almost 40 pages, and there's not just one. But I have to admit I like these forums a lot more. There's no trolls or spammers.

I'm wondering if the BONK! miss effect is going to apply to all damage, or just the bullets fired from sentry guns. Having the scout get a speed boost AND be able to avoid most of the fire the enemy team is throwing at him seems a bit overpowered, but having the effect only apply for sentry guns seems a bit more reasonable and balanced.
I think it will only be for bullets. When you have used Bonk! you also have some seconds where you can't see that good...
