I know there are still some clipping issues and lighting and other cosmetic issues, but this should be a big improvement over Beta2. I hope this is playable enough for a public release, so I am releasing it. Feel free to post comments on playability issues, don't comment on cosmetics yet I'm more concerned about game play.
Edit: It seems the website is slow to upload and I have to head off to work, I will post the file tonight after I get out of work (approx 11:30PM EST).
the HEX TFC map server will probably be running it earlier than that if they get my message and grab it off the FTP.

This is what I said, you need an env_tonemap_control to limmit the amount the HDR can change by, all the TF2 maps have it quite restricted from the norm, portal also has it quite restricted.
I'm not suggesting you remove it too much I think it should be quite bright when you go outside but I think at the moment it is too bright

seem like alot of the "new" tf players are getting lost in the maps. most are just too lazy to learn . maybe you could put more arrows leading out of hte base

I second that! I've been anxious to try this map, but will have to wait till I get home from work. Maps with no direction are rather difficult to pick up and impulsive people will dropout if they get too confused on which way to go. :D

Just played it, impeccable job there, that hard work paid off!
My only suggestion is to maybe make the intel not so hard to get... theres only 1 way out and being in a pit makes it extremely difficult. With the original you could conc jump out.
Maybe make it at ground level instead of in a pit?

I just played this beta, and I must say thanks to the author for taking my advice on the powerups in the back/lower sniper deck
The only issue I found is that all the signs and the intel are... white, no colour on them whatsoever. Although this is not the only map which has this issue. I'm wondering if it might be some local setting I have to change myself?
Hats of to the author for creating this delicous piece of (TFC) history :thumbup1:

I really dig this map, and a good friend of mine went absolutely nuts when he found out there was a CTF remake of Badlands. Though my server is 16 slots, people seem to enjoy this map a lot despite it being rather big. Excellent beta releases so far, and aside from the visual issues and lack of clips you've patched up in B3e, it's played wonderfully even on a smaller server.
Keep it up man, this is a must have addition to any serious CTF or TFC map server!
