Hi Guys, not sure if this is the right spot to be posting this but I've recently started to learn how to import custom models into TF2. Ive made a Fosters Beer can to replace the Jarate Jar. I have succesfully imported the model itself into the game, but for some reason I cant get the texture into game. If someone could have a look at these files and maybe spot something I'm doing wrong, it would be much appreciated.

fix your link

But I think you havnt placed them in the folder that you have specified in the qc file (post it plz) (you see the evil checkers?)

Some other possibilities:

You didnt use vmt/vtf files for the textures or didnt refer to the vtf file in the vmt file.
The textures have different names from the ones used in the model program (you should edit the smd files with a text editor and change the texture names)

I think I do have them pointing to the right place in the QC, I'll post that up to so you can have a look/

Renders, use them. They'll make your model infinitely more presentable than that.

Try, this (http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/3ds/clayrender_stealth/).

Also, you can cut down a lot of triangles on that on parts that will rarely, if ever, get seen, for instance the chamfer on the tab, and other parts on it.

There is also something that looks like an error on the front of the tab that you may want to fix up.

Yeah I know how to render, heres a few of my old projects: http://www.mountaincreative.com.au/prykie/ .

I just havent done too many low poly models. I have fixed the error on the tab. And you are right about the chamfers, Im just used to modelling with lots of chamfers :D
Ive uploaded the files for it if you guys want to use it: http://rapidshare.com/files/239608900/Fosters_Can.zip.html
Heres what it looks like in game:

I like it, and it's appropriate because we all know that Jarate and Fosters taste the same.

Penguin, you seriously made me laugh out loud. Luckily my roommate was on the balcony making a phone call.

Thanks for the comments guys,
@Penguin I wouldnt think it would be too hard to decompile the Jarate model and then rename it for the bonk, would be funny to see the Scout chug down some piss :D

LOL, funny 'cause it's tru, Fosters does taste like piss.

I remember people talking about how a FOsters oil can would be a good replacement, I didn't think anyone would actually do it though. Good work.

No, actually Jarate tastes better! Youíve no idea how often I (an Aussie living in the UK) have had to save my friends from drinking Fosterís.

As we like to say: Fosterís is like having sex in a boat...

Itís f**king close to water!

....its not far from water :D
I'm also an Aussie living in the UK, and we really dont get/drink fosters back home at all. Not really sure why they call it an Aussie beer anymore :S
Ive posted it up on FPS Banana as well: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/66446
