I was looking for a map making partner.
I can do all the basics of mapping and more.
I have been looking into modelling and want to learn.
Tell me if you are starting a map and want some help.

Right now I'm finishing up a simple cp map. My next project however, is a TC map, rivaling Hydro and Dustbowl. Warning; TC maps are by their very nature, complicated. Until that time however, I would advise making a small map of your own. There's a huge difference between knowledge and practise. Still, aside from the Toy Soldiers Mod, which has died off for the moment, we have yet to do a real group collab. I definately want to do a collabaration at some point. Most people are wrapped up in their own work atm, but it's something to shoot for.

understood but making a map is an immense project and i was looking for someone to help. but yea practice is what i was looking for, but to get practice, you need some inspiration to keep going, that being the person im mapping with.
still if anyone wants to make one, im up for it :D

Ahh, I see. When I started doing stuff for DM, my biggest problem was inspiration. I couldn't think of any decent designs or layouts. When you're really stuck, google some pics of farmland, or a city block. Look for 'overhead of city'. Then sketch something on paper, and go from there. Before starting any map, I make a rough outline in my doodle notebook :D

I'm doing a comunity map project over at www.coltsplayground.net If you wan't practice on making an area look nice (in TF2) then you can have a section of that map.

Certainly, just resurrect this thread for me - http://tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=617
I'll post a link to the file in there now so you two can work on it. :)
The only two parts left are identical, except one is red and one is blu, so say witch you'd rather do and I'll put your name down for that bit.
