Thought I'd introduce myself here since I plan on milking you guys for some advice. :P

I just recently got in to TF2 and found, to my surprise, that I really enjoy it. I usually suck really hardcore at FPS games (at least in online play), but I find that TF2 can accomodate a lot of different play styles, so my lack of ultra-fast twitch reflexes isn't a big deal.

I've made a few things here and there for different RPG's (Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind, Oblivion), but never a shooter game. I thought I'd try my hand at some TF2 maps. I've been mining the forums here for advice and guidance, and thought it was time I actually made my presence known.

Now off to post my first question in another thread. :)

Welcome bud =)

If you've used the NWN editor then this shouldnt confuse you as much heh. Bunch of useful info in the tutorial section also always instant gratification on the tf2maps.net steam chat!

Actually, I found Hammer a tad bit intimidating when I first fired it up, but now that I've learned a bit more about it and it's features, I'm pretty comfortable with it, at least for basic stuff.

And yes, I've been using the tutorial section. I find I'm going to the Valve wiki to find out WHAT something is, and then coming here to find out how to actually use it.

Didn't know about the chatroom, I'll keep that in mind.
