What modeling application do you use?
3dsmax
What pluses and minuses does it have?
It's tough for beginners but a dream for professionals. You really have to know how it works to make beautiful things with it.
Why would you suggest it for a beginner?
You have to start somewhere.
How easy it is for a beginner to learn? Does it have a big community that helps?
There are millions of tutorials in text and tutorials in video for 3ds max. The community is immense.

How big effect on gaming does modeling leave right now?
Coding and modelling make a game. You cant go without either.
Is modeling useful anywhere else then in games?
Anything that goes onto a screen. Movies, tv shows, commercials...
Will your future profession be linked with modeling? Or is it already linked with it?
Yes it is. I need to perfect it to get better job :p
If you have chosen modeling as your future profession is there enough universities to learn at? (One or two examples would be great)
Too much to count. But always make sure you read reviews on the school, because some have no idea what they are doing and just exist to fill up the market.

How many time ,average, do you spend on one model?
Depends entirely on how big something is. And if you do something for the first time.
Which was the hardest model you have made till now?
An american diner with subd. Still working on it, and it is very frustrating sometimes.
Which was your first model? How long did it take to make? (A picture would be really nice!
I think it was a tiberium plant I made for my first TF2 map. cp_hourglass.

Were Valve to make a Half Life Movie, I really doubt they'd do it from gordon freeman's perspective. For starters, take a look at how closely Meet the Class correlates to actual gameplay.

Honestly, Half Life was designed primarily to be a game, I'm pretty sure that if valve were to make a movie of it they'd get some script writers to write something original, and quite possibly mostly unrelated to the events you directly observe in Half Life (not to say you won't be observed, though).

That's just my opinion though, although I reckon if valve has 2 lions to rub together, they won't directly translate any of their games directly as a movie.

Ok, a lot of this one is in the delivery. I'll do the best I can.

A woman has just finished having her child, she is regaining a state of calm, when the doctor walks in, with a sad look on his face.

"I've got some bad news, your boy's been born with a slight deformity."

"What does this mean,? She replied "Can I see him?"

The Doctor lead her on to another room, where a baby with no arms was crying in a cot.

"Is this my boy?" She asked.

"No, I'm afraid it's much worse"

They walked onwards, and saw in a cot, a baby with no arms or legs.

"Is this my boy?" She asked.

"No, it's a little worse than this."

Again, they walked onwards, where they found a baby in a cot, that was only a head.

"Is this my boy?"

"No, it's worse"

Finally, they reached the last cot in the room. There was an eye in it.

"Is this my boy?"

"Yes, I'm so sorry"

She was, naturally, a little shocked. After composing herself she asked

"Well, is he going to be able to live a normal life?"

"No," The Doctor replied."He's blind"

Someone (most logical case) probably vandalized the lighthouse, and the thing is without the anti-greifing blocks in place, things do light on fire. Like trees. And they're impossible to put out, as fire can jump up to something like 5 blocks away to another tree. I'm partially responsible for the lack of trees around my tunnel entrance. Which is almost useless since unless you've been out to super's place by foot, you'll crash in the area below and above it. Stupid glitches.

Actually, I think they should still pay more attention to the "my suggestion" threads, as the "wtf omg this patch sux" is more likely to have QQ without explaining WHY the QQ, and "my suggestion" will have more "I hate this, because of situation X and Y and Z", before going on and listing the potential fixes (which, like mentioned above, don't necesarily need to be considered).

EDIT: I read it, and it basically says "there'll always be QQers', which I've always believed to always be true, given a standard statistically probable audience.

This net_graph 3 shows huge packet loss, right?

I'm rubberbanding like crazy in TF2.

I searched the internets, really, all of it, and I couldn't find a clear explanation of this latest net_graph. They're all showing older versions that are different. The bottom portion especially.

I get the same results when on lower ping servers, the gaps are just narrower.

My rates:
rate 30000
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100
cl_interp 0.1

I tried a rate of 50000, cmdrate at 66 and updaterate at 66, interp at 0.01...

No dice.

I'm NOT on a wireless network. Plugged-in a nice linksys router that has default factory settings (with disabled wireless capabilities) that ran perfectly fine when on XP.

This started happening ever since I got Win7 64bit.

What could cause this?

D
