Now i know you may think "hey why is he editing turbine and what not." Well i'm actually working on a new Gamemode. That involves with CTF and CPs(nothing like haarp). I'm starting out with adding the Gamemode to Turbine so i can make sure i have everything working correctly before i go...

Also does anyone know if there is a way to get the map on a server to get actual playtesting feedback? Instead of people just downloading the map opening up TF2 and playing it alone.

No, i haven't seen one beside the one that happened on Sunday but im always checking events page. How often do they post a gameday?

Wow, with my luck i actually found a server running my map by doing a search. As from the people i played with they said they love the gamemode!

I've seen this done a few times. It's a fun game-mode IMO. The map has to be built around the idea though. Turbine, 2fort, etc. wouldn't work too well with it I think.

The map is one of my all-time favorites. I seldom see it played anymore, though . There are two main objectives:

1) Capture and control the Powerhouse (a single control point in the center of the map)
- Controlling the powerhouse activates a protective shield around your Intel

2) Go for the Intel
- When the powerhouse is held by your team, the opposing team's shield will be deactivated...allowing you to take their intelligence

I know that your idea is slightly different with three points, but the concept is more or less the same.

So far with the map its worked well with about 8 people. Still waiting for the guys server to get to 24 full. then we shall see.

I once considered a map where controlling the center point opened an additional route to the intelligence, making it much easier to attack. Thing is, if you are controlling the center you are already winning, and adding the control point has a "win more" effect.

That is the core problem with your idea. If a team is competent enough to win the points you discuss then running the intelligence back three times amounts to adding insult to the injury.
