True, but I'd rather support open source software like GIMP.

I really like paint.NET as well; here is an invaluable resource I found: Nemesis Tools .vtf extension for Paint.NET

Default [Tutorial] Making a Poster Overlay


I've been searching the forums regarding overlays for the answer to my problem. I can't get transparent textures to function properly. Even if they are transparent there appears to be a thin white line at the border of each overlay. I use paint net to make the overlay, save it as a tga and convert it with vtex. It seems like alot of people have had this problem but I havent found a solution yet.
