My name is Chaofanatic, but you could already see that.
I've been creating particle effects for... a while now, and decided to register here to see if I could start to take requests for map effects or something.
I just thought it would be a good idea to try to offer my services here!
Now that all that formal stuff is out of the way! I hope we can all get to know eachother and that I can end up making some friends here instead of being purely business.
Well that went a lot better than expected! I'm always afraid that people will yell and throw sharp objects or something.
Anyway, if anyone wants to make a request, just drop me a line. I will also try to seek out problems and volunteer to fix them and stuff. I just couldn't stand to see another map with a wonderful concept get ruined by lack of atmosphere that a few PCF's could have fixed...
You know, like every lava map ever.

Golly, the map I'm planning right now would LOVE some epic particles. I've just been editing boring ones currently in the game. I might have to drop you a line.
What he's shown me of the black hole so far is amazing. It's just stunning.
Chaofanatic, if we thought of a bunch of generic particle effects, do you think you could make some kind of pack for us? I'm not even sure what it would entail. Maybe some kind of ankle height fog, if you can think of a way to optimize it. I am having a hard time thinking of what other people have wanted in the past. A kind of dusty air thing, for desert/egypt maps? Someone help me here. Maybe we don't need this.
Also, where/how did you learn to use the particle editor like this? I've spent probably 150 hours in it easily, and, well, you saw how good I was at it. Would you consider writing some kind of tutorial? As far as I know, there is next to zero documentation on the particle editor. It'd be a huge help to the entire Source community.
I'm not a fan of new weapons or customized TF2 stuff, but to be honest, this is epic.
Your particles are way better then the originals. This is how the steam workshop should be used!
Hey uh, sorry if this is a stupid question, but what category would particles fit in for downloads? Tutoral Resources? It says it's also for other resources, but I just wanted to make sure before I started trying to upload packs of stuff.
