GW2 Stress test, tomorrow. August 2nd, Noon Pacific to 4 Pacific. Rumor has it BWE3 Characters are still around.

Aly, Erich, Rikka and Myself have decided that we will try to get into the following servers on launch (in this order)

Jade Quarry, Crystal Desert, Fergusson's Crossing.

We will be able to transfer servers for free for a "while" according to official sources. so our final server is subject to change, but this is the top 3 priority servers we will try to get into.

So far we're all intending on playing as:

Aly - Human Theif
Fr0z3n - Asura Guardian
Erich - Human(?) Engineer
Rikka - Sylvari(?) Mesmer
Tech - Human Warrior

(clearly, there is no love for asurans)

I'm not sure whether I'll go to to Far Shiverpeaks or join you guys because... well, the former has better ping and fellow Scandinavians, but no one I know. So we'll see. I guess you can put me on the list as... probably Sylvari Necromancer.

I can attest to the fact that the lag won't be noticable. I can play on US servers 100% comfortably...maybe when I get into serious PvP it'll change, but not much. Unlike other MMO's and other games, 300 ping is barely a problem.

This. GW2 + Ping is not noticeable.

When playing GW1 I would play on the European Districts every-now-and-then, not a problem.

(There was a thing where the Euro Servers would have better timers or something because the ping was higher so it would round down to the nearest second, giving is lower times... Idk, high level PvE gets RIDICULOUS)
