Black Mesa is a complete re-creation of the game Half-Life, utilizing the Source engine. Black Mesa will let you re-visit the world that started the Half-Life continuum.
Being released this year comes one of the most anticipated mods ever.

Coming in single player, multiplayer and possible even co-op this game ought to have something to offer for everyone.

What will be required to play it?
Simple. ANY Source Powered game that includes the Source SDK. Full list here.

I hated HL1 but it does look good. I look forward to something original from the team if they do ever work together again.

While it does look good, I would have preferred they spent their mapping efforts on something new instead of a recreation. I'll probably end up playing it eventually, but I'm in no hurry to run through HL1 again anytime soon. I'll be interesting to see what new twists they've added to the game though.
