Why would you want to simulate being in Long Beach?

I'm building a map in a 60's era dock. The Long Beach facility was built in the 50's - much of the equipment and practices haven't changed too much visually over the years. But I'm not targeting Long Beach specifically any more than Sawmill is a representation of a specific sawmill or Well is a specific trainyard or the like.

So, objects and structures seen in Long Beach might show up in the skybox, but it won't be accurate to Long Beach.

I've never cared for Vig's texturing. I don't know what he uses or what look he thinks he's reproducing, but it's not Team Fortress 2's.
