'Struth. When I added the wooden stairs to my artpass map, they were mostly straight with the occasional warped or even broken step.

EDIT: And I agree that the Sawmill stair model is very often distractingly obvious, partly because they only have the one skin which almost always doesn't match the wood textures people use everywhere else. I remember a tutorial post about props to avoid because it's so obvious where they come from; maybe those should be added.
