Well the shotgun is a w_model, so right now as a replacement it's external-view only. I have no idea how I would go about doing the viewmodel, or even if I'm expected to.

I believe you just need to do the c_model since thats what TF2 now uses for all new weapons.

The c_model is basically just a w_model only it's also used by the weaponless arm models they've got for the v_models.

So just do the w_model.

Just wondering, how many polies does that thing have? Regardless though, I think you can get away without making any of the small rings geo (they're hardly visible in first-person as far as I can see anyway) and instead just putting them on the texture. Even then you could probably halve the amount of small rings and it might look a bit less... cluttered. It already has a lot of detail compared to existing ingame weapons as it is.

So I am switching to engy. Here's some concepts for the melee weapon.



Keep in mind the handle and shaft are temporary!. I'm just looking for opinions on which head looks best.

It'll look distinctly different (from the homewrecker) once other weapon features are added.
