Model custom rocket model for last cp

you may (or may not) know my map cp_demolition, which i started over a year ago. for the last cp of this map, i need a custom model now, more certainly, a nuclear rocket. i cant tell you how exactly it should look, only that it should be like the rocket in "models\props_granary\rocket_launchpad1.mdl", only wider, with a big, team colored nuclear sign (see below) and a max height of about 400 hammer units (can be changed if necessary), plus some kind of construnction to hold the rocket.

the map itself is almost finished, missing only the 3d-skybox and said model, plus maybe some more testing.

hmm. This sounds fun!
That's a handsome lookin' map Nutomic.

I've got some ivy models going into the oven to bake.
And some deciduous trees on the stove ...

But i'd like to get another hard-surface model in the oven.
I'll work on some concepts, and schedules permitting it'll work out m8.

It has promise, but I wouldn't let the rocket base sit flat on the ground. Have some method of supports keeping the rocket suspended off the ground...you've probably thought of this at some point, since it is a control point, and a critical gameplay area. Nice work so far though.

Keeping in mind that we need to leave some headroom for folks taking the point ....

There's not much room left to fit the clamps that hold the missile.
It'd be nice if the wall that the clamps are attached to was longer/higher.

But it's really up to you - we can always cheat it and just stick in one clamp.

Nutomic has signed off on the model.
So now I will optimize the mesh, do a nice unwrap and bake off a quality ambient occlusion.

There's also the nose cone to finish... and thinkin' about adding some eye candy to the bottom of the missile so there's something to cool to stare at while taking the point. :cool:
