Valve are doing it again. First Grockets, now this!

We have no idea what it's for, or what it does; and when loaded in itemtest it crashes the entire game! What are they up to?

I mean what were the birds for anyway, yeah they're a part of Meet the Medic but nothing else whatsoever and you wouldn't have been able to tell before seeing the video

I "Heard" the grockets might have to do with a solly update. I only say "heard" because several people in a couple different severs said grockets go along with some future update with soldier.

I wish they would have something to do with an update for poor Engie. Everyone got new items last update but him.

However, I doubt it. Valve's just screwing with us, methinks.

"several people" from "a couple different servers"; sounds like a reliable source of information to me.

The wiki says it's something to do with the soldier's secondary slot because that's who can currently equip it if you "hack" the game (equiping it also subsequently crashes the game). But there's really no more information that isn't simply idle speculation. "Grocket" sounds like "crocket", the soldier shoots "rockets" and these things are also "rockets"... people are making connections in the most rediculous of circumstantial evidence.

So yea, It's currently only soldier related because it shares the soldier's shotgun position.
