This sounds fun. I used to play highlander, it was fun, but we never got enough people. But I don't think that will be a problem here. I will try to be there.

This week won't have the UGC whitelist. And this week isn't a testing week. As I stated in the original post.

If you don't like the idea of a whitelist not being there, come back next week.

EDIT: I'm talking about the weapon whitelist, not some tourney rules. The tourney rules are set up by TF2lobby

in my post replace test with match then, the result will be the same.

The point I am trying to make is that people who do not care about gameplay have a general overlap with people who go, " lol compfags ban stuff 4 no reeson", and will not attend an event where gameplay is a focus, whether it's a test or not.

So if I understand you correctly this first week will be a test on valve maps, and then in subsequent weeks it'll be more of a "testing maps" kind of thing?
Either way this sounds awesome.

Correct. In later weeks, assuming week 1 goes well, we'll play either late alpha, or beta maps for testing... OR we'll play a custom map.

Based on the prelim poll results, I'm going to be going with a KoTH map for the lobby(s) tonight.

I'm thinking Lakeside or maaaaybe koth_badlands. I don't want to be too serious right now, just something fun for this first week. Like trotim mentioned earlier, KotH will be a good way for people to get their feet wet into the realm of Highlander since it isn't as intricate as 5CP.

Suggestions/thoughts?
