TF2 Help Needed

Dear People,

Mann VS Machine is live, people like me is waiting to get into a server. Every time I wait, I will get even more impatient. So I decided to create a server of my own and play solo using the "+" in TF2 beside the browse servers option. Every time I join or create a private server, I will NOT be able to choose a class. That means I will be stuck at a grey screen with only the words "Welcome" and people playing at the background. I will not be able to move, change classes or view in spectate. Please tell me why. Thanks.

Did you set the max player count to 32 as previously discussed? It defaults to the normal limit of 24.

Other than that, I've got no idea what could be wrong, it worked for me instantly. Of course, you can forget about actually surviving alone.

Thanks alot, it actually worked. Another question, I used the "+" sign to create the server, my friends can't join, anyway to fix this?

Check some tutorials on how to set up listen servers.

What I did was put the following into console and I was able to host a server with friends:

maxplayers 32
map mvm_mannworks (decoy or coaltown works too!)
sv_lan 0
map mvm_mannworks (or to decoy or coaltown. have to change maps for this to kick in. Didn't check if you could do it before launching map.)

Then you just give people your IP, the IP that is listed here.

You'll need to port forward port #27015. I forgot to mention that.
