Event Rules and Information (link)

Egan-Gameday Rules:
  1. If there's something specific you want feedback on in your map, write so a line below the rest of your submission, and I'll try to announce it sometime during the round. (Eg: Do the respawn times feel fair?)
  2. I'll keep playing maps past the end of the gameday as long as I feel like playing TF2 (usually at least 3 more maps from the end). If there is another VIP / Admin on then they can take my place as host, if they are available to do so.
  3. I'll only play 5cap maps for a maximum of 20 minutes because, partly having no experience in competitive, I don't enjoy them and they bore me out for the rest of the gameday.

Looking for feedback on a few specific things:
-optimization
-does the train feel like it impacts gameplay
-are there any areas that feel awkward to fight in
-are health and ammo locations helpful, does there need to be more or less of either?
-Is the upper route across the planks useful?
-is being able to get on top of the bridge easily useful and/or overpowered

I almost missed that there was an event this week because you called the thread "January 14". Not that it'll matter since there's no map pack, as usual; may as well wait for the event popup and live with five minutes of waiting between every map.

EDIT: Or not. Apparently my computer decided now would be an excellent time to crash and then spend 15 minutes verifying that it didn't take the hard drive down with it. Fuck you, AMD, and your aggressive planned-obsolescence bullshit.

I have a quick question on demos. When someone in the server goes to spectate how do I see there they are? Sorry but I'm still getting used to demos in general.

I should mention that a few hours before the start of the gameday I was doing testing on watergate and flipped respawns off so the testers would respawn faster. The regularly used commands that we use are held inside the server.cfg and get defaulted back to normal on map switch, but the no-respawns one is not in there and I only realised we had no respawns when we hit koth_amazing, so the first three maps were played without any respawn times!
