Default ***Official Texturing Contest 03 Details***


Even in gimp AND Photoshop I can't get anything to save as a .TGA and still be opaque... in photoshop it just whites out my alpha, in gimp it blacks out my alpha and wrecks the image... I can actually look at the channels in gimp unlike my PS elements 6.0, but i cant really edit the channels.
So, looks like I'll be bowing out of this contest without an entry too .

Naw, I wasn't going to because I figured from the start since they weren't original. After i posted them in chat, [J] Doctor Killing was suggesting I do it anyway.

I think I need to recolor the white on the syn-tech one, seems a little too bright, then again there are white warning signs as well in the game. Hmm.

Well I'm pretty happy with mine since they're my first tf2 style "anything" and my first decals. But mine look like nothing compared to everyone else's. I don't know how you guys do it.

Yeah looks pretty good to me, maybe a little bit too much noise but the style is there and it fits.

Thanks for the advise, but this one turned out to be the worst yet.


EDIT: I saved this as a jpeg, so it took out the alpha, but there were grey checkers in the holes of the first and all around both other than the black.

I know, but I cant make any targa or VTF that saves the transparentcy! they all end up white or black and usually there are large graphical glitches around the edges.
