If we have a prop library, why not have a blend texture library?

Some of the textures in the texture browers doesn't look the same in the browser as they do in the game. And sometimes you don't know how much variety a ground theme has.
These are all of the blend textures in TF2, roughly faded from alpha 1 to alpha 0.
All textures are 512x512.
I tried arranging them so you see which ones fit together.

Man, that is nice. Pretty soon I'll be able to make a map out of only the library content going around.

Are the egypt sand textures in there?

The Blend Library is a bit outdated and he hasn't edited the OP in months. I'll take a guess and say "no, they are not."

I might add the egypt stuff later on. Busy finishing up repository rc3 :)

imho you should turn these into prefabs rather than a library map. that way you don't even have to load a vtf to get at your stuff, its already in hammer!
