Just thought I'd share a pet peeve of mine with you fine folks. It came to me as I was DLing all of the maps for today's game day. A lot of the time, when I unzipped the files and tried to extract them, I got the ever so annoying pop-up

readme.txt already exists, overwrite?
Is there a reason you people don't use mapname_readme.txt or readme_mapname.txt?

Um, so that they know what to do with the map once they've downloaded it...

The readme includes vital credits. It (for me) also includes the instal instructions which are copy the .bsp to the tf/maps folder and NOT extract the whole folder to anywhere. because I use .zips people dont need to actually 'extract' the file to anywhere because they can open it without extracting and it extracts the files on a standard drag and drop from the zip to a normal folder.

You can open any archived format without "extracting" it in the form you are saying...and even then you are still extracting it, your just extracting it to your temp folder then opening it from there...

and regardless, im not questioning why it is included, I am questioning you telling people not to extract it...
