Default .bz2 file


I need to make a .bz2 file of my map how do i go about this.

After installing 7zip, right click on your map and press Add to archive..

The quickload for players has to be bz2, it's a valve thing I guess.

Either way everyone who DL's your map ahead of time can also open it with any zip program so might as well stick to one format.

I use PeaZip, also a free program that can do zip and 7z

The upload to the redirect server on this site doesn't seem to work for regular .bsp

Actually, it's a compressed file that the game knows how to open...i.e. you download the bz2 and the game is smart enough to unzip it and let you play.

LOL,i was going to ask what the difference is between the program i downloaded from the link a few posts back and winrar,but you have answered my query,cheers.
