Yeah, I've played Quake Live.
Pretty awesome with quake 3 arena with lots of players and free, too bad you can't put it in steam :/

Not sure, but I heard it's ad-based, Haven't seen a single ad though.

Heh, played this way back, ran great, but I lost interest because I just find quake pretty damn straight forward and boring :X

Not yet, as you can't create own servers yet.

All servers are hosted by quake live I think.

no weapon in the game is an instant kill with 100% hp..

Even the bullshit BFG gun takes 2-3 to kill.

What? Isn't there a sniper rifle that 1 hit kills? I like it a lot but I don't get the part on why it will help you with every FPS you will ever play.

Rail gun doesnt take 100 hp.

you will get better at all fps's and every single VERY good player for most fps's today are old q3a players.

because its such a fast paced arena game, your reaction time has to be MUCH better

all players are the same, all weapons are the same.. its 100% equal...

the only thing that makes you come out on top is skill.

Ha, when i used to play this all the time for 4-5 years i went to BF2, SoF, RtCW, RtCW:ET,QW... and i would get it all the time.. "are you a q3a player?"

Very easy to start playing if you've ever played soldier on TF2 hehe. Rocket Launcher=My instant win weapon. Rocket jumping is fantastic, no one expects it
