First off, The Soldier is Valve's domain. IFF a TF2Maps.net account member has been posting under that moniker without Valve's support then that really needs to stop. There are a lot of assumptions made when a post is made under that account, so I wouldn't go there. Some assumptions include OFFICIAL custom models, textures, and a new map.

If that's the case then AWESOME and I can't wait!

If this is a 100% community thing then there really isn't an excellent track record (sorry there really isn't) that would warrant a secretive Valve-like announcement.

The only reason that this set off my suspicions is the fact that the advert has "TF2Maps.net" as a division of the TF Industries. If it's really the inside of a whale then please... this tileset isn't really a new "environment" It's a new theme map.

I thought the "TF2Maps.net" bit in very light text was sort of a giveaway it wasn't something being passed on from Valve... [Deleted]

COME ON, whatever it is, it's free, and if they managed to convince boojum to use the soldier (Boojum runs the soldier after all! NOT VALVE.), then it's not going to be anything bad.

Besides, you guys are just being whiny bitches, as if you don't get this attention or some shit. Trust me, this thing is worth the wait

Seriously guys, get a clue... This is bigger than just a single map, or even two, or three. we've been working on it for some time and its something that will be big.

/dispels concerns its just one lucky tosser having his map bigged up.

Of course I'm a total bitch. I'm just trying to tell you how I feel about this "I'm so important" type of announcements, so I expect people to disagree and to be angry with me.

EDIT: Okay, Youme, if you say so that's less of a problem for me. The problem is, it wasn't very clear, so it was very easy to assume that someone with access to the Soldier account just wanted some attention for their map/other project. I'm going to shut up until I have some other reason to complain/be excited.
