We focus a lot on detail and general methods for a TF2 map. I thought we could use this thread to share Hammer shortcuts and tricks that speed up mapping. Everyone share and I'll keep this list updated, and perhaps it should be added to the Mega Thread.
Tips and Tricks for Faster Mapping:
1. Hammer Viewports Guide (tricks on moving around your map faster in Hammer)
2. Non-Hammer Compile Tool (For large maps, this may speed up your compile time. Uses fewer system resources)
3. Hotkey Reference (Keyboard shortcuts. Worth Printing.)
4.Grouping and Visgrouping (Grouping allows you to group objects together, and then you can select them all with one click. Visgrouping allows you to hide objects to get them out of your way, or only look at one Visgroup, like say func_details.)
